My interest lies predominantly in researching relationships between humanity and the environment. Currently I am paying attention to how my work can activate a space and be used as a tool for storytelling. I am thinking about space in relation to the human body, how we use it and accessibility to these spaces. I focus on body engagement in my work, whether that be using objects to reveal spaces, or having work that requires an element of maintenance growths/plant care. I believe that this would act somewhat like a glass door: allowing the viewer to see themselves in the work but not enter the work unless they choice to, and the use of a material that requires care and maintenance to subvert expectation, and activities the work as performance, where the one caring for the object becomes the performer.
